i climbed on this glacial ice in new zealand, just outside milford sound. if there was a time i was going to die on my two week trip, this would have been it. i climbed on ice that was really very thin without realising it. a few metres beneath me was running water and a hell of a lot of sharp rocks. how pleasant. i did not die though, obviously, but everyone was waving their hands and yelling at me to get off.

ha. how gorgeous are the waterfalls? they are EVERYWHERE in milford sound!

i am in a bit of a strange mood. it's a mix between "GOD I'M SO HAPPY" and "WOW THIS IS MAKING ME MISERABLE" so yeah, whatever.

i like the contrast in this picture. this song is so awesome. new years this evening. i'll see the new year in with someone i've known for many years. we first met online in 2003. met in 2004, saw nin together in 2005, saw each other randomly in between then and nin and tori amos this year in september. woo. unfortunately she lives in sydney but i will kidnap her and her girlfriend and make them live here.
